Cookie notice

Last updated 12 August 2026. This page explains the cookies and similar storage used on systemkernelpath.digital.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Either choice leaves the site fully usable: you can read every page, open the contact form, and request a scoping call. Rejecting does not hide content, change prices (we do not sell on this site), or block the form. The banner links here so you can read before you choose.

How the choice is stored

Your decision is saved in localStorage under the key systemkernelpath_cookie_consent, with the value accepted or rejected. That storage is brand-prefixed so it does not collide with other sites. It is not a third-party advertising cookie. Clearing site data in your browser will show the banner again.

Essential storage

The consent key itself is treated as essential. It remembers that you have already answered, including a rejection, so we do not nag you on every page load. Without it, the banner would return each visit. We set it only after you click Accept or Reject.

If you accept

We may use a small first-party cookie or localStorage flag to understand which public pages are read (for example home, methodology, and journal). This helps us see whether a note about retention labels is useful, not to build a profile for sale. We do not run remarketing pixels, social trackers, or cross-site advertising cookies. If we add a simple first-party analytics cookie later, we will name it on this page before it is used.

If you reject

We do not set analytics cookies. We still store the rejection flag so the banner can stay hidden. Pages, images, and the contact form continue to work. Embedded photographs from the public image host may still be requested by your browser as ordinary images; those requests are not our analytics cookies.

Third parties

We load typefaces from Google Fonts. That request may allow Google to see your IP address and the font files you need. Photographs load from Unsplash’s public image service. Those hosts have their own notices. We do not control their cookies. The contact form posts to a static file on this domain (/api/mock.json) and does not set a vendor cookie.

Changing your mind

Clear localStorage for this site, or delete site data in your browser settings, then reload. The banner will appear again. You can also email audits@systemkernelpath.digital and we will confirm that we are not attaching an analytics identifier to your enquiry.

More about personal data

Names and messages sent through the form are handled under the privacy notice, not as cookies.
